In other news; busy busy life. Painful life, to be sure. My arm won't stop aching after a mega-injection of epic proportions. My wisdom teeth or lack thereof are giving me issues when it comes to eating still, as well. So, no fun there.

If anybody knows anything about the mythical creature the nixie/nix/nixe, commonly found in German, Scandinavian and Swiss legends, that isn't copied right from Wikipedia, I'd love to know it.

A treat for y'all: download this song. It's just amazing. A little-known Australian band that needs some serious lovin'. It's called Run The Red Light by British India. I heard it first yesterday on the radio and downloaded it, and was blown away by how cool it really was. Sort of like... an indie-rock anthem, with a slight amount of punkish defiance mixed in. Beautiful, though. The singer's voice is just rough enough that you wouldn't think it would end up so addictive, but it does sound rather sexy. XD

And, Taibe (that twin brother of mine) applied for a job online at this l33t clothing store in the major town near us, Albury (which is like 45 mins drive away). So, anyway, an hour later Cotton On called back and told him the interviews were tomorrow. So I think that's uber-cool. I wouldn't mind working there either. However, I just saw Lisa from the restaurant the other day and she said to me (first! yes! not me first! her!) that I was free to ask for work anytime, and that they're even doing lunches there now! So I can work some times during the day and some during the night... or both, if I'm so inclined! Money!

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I've got this bad habit of abandoning various things when life gets busy.

Um, so, very quick update on life in general:

- Exams are nearly over for me. Well, in a week. This coming Friday is my last exam, art. I hate it so. But I haven't had a bad exam yet, and I think my English Extension essay may very well have been the best essay I have and will ever write in my life. Told Ms Fisher that I thought extension was easy, her response? "Of COURSE you think it's fucking easy, you're good at it!" Funniest moment ever, lawl. I love when my teachers swear.

- Granddad's funeral was one of the worst things I've ever experienced in my life. As soon as I got home, mum went and cried in the toilet, Taibe and I felt really awkward and decided to go down the street and get chocolate, the food for depression. First, though, I dropped by Sam's place. Her mum said she was asleep, so I asked her to tell Sam that 'it was okay'. Of course, then her mum asked exactly what was okay, and I said I'd just been to a funeral and she told me to just go in and wake Sammy up. I did so; climbed on her bed and cried on her shoulder. Not for too long, though. It was just awful. I'm pretty much okay now, though. I get over these things quickly, I think.

- Dad's been to Japan and back. Brought back some souveniers. Haha. Got me an Aristocats towel with Marie on it; I think he saw a white cat with pink and thought it was Hello Kitty. Kristy bought me an early xmas prezzie, too - a HK bracelet. So cute. <3 Dad was even talking about me staying with the people he stayed with when I go to Japan. I don't really care anymore, I just want to get there first.

- The exchange organisation's sent a bunch of stuff to be filled out. Measurements for a uniform - height 154 cm. So depressing </3 Haha. Also, had to write a letter to my prospective host families in Japanese. Can we say WTF now? I can't speak Japanese, so how the hell am I supposed to write it? Wrote a nice letter in English and posted it to Melbourne to be translated, eventually. - I want to buy a Mac and an external harddrive before I go to Japan. I worked out that getting everything I want will probably cost somewhere around $2000, just for the computer I want, plus an additional thousand for some of the extras. That would pretty much wipe out my money, so I think I might just make do with what I've got so far. - Went over to Tanya's last night. She's a friend of the family, taught me once upon a time and I'd learn horseriding from her too. We chatted, she said she didn't really think games design is for me. I can see what she means, even if I don't entirely agree XD. She suggested I become an academic, do an arts course with honours - told me it'd be easy to get honours for me, she got it and I'm smarter than she is, apparently - and even suggested that I do pure languages and go into translating and diplomacy and the like. Sounds kind of fun, I'll admit. - I miss all of you so very much. Any comments on this will probably turn into fullblown conversation, haha. No rly. Candace, Glassie, I think I might particularly need to catch up with you two. Oh, and of course 'Nisha and Cait, although I've been talking to you more than the other two (even if that's not a lot either T_T) Everyone, comment~ - Hoping to stay at Sammy's place tonight. I'll take Gravitation and we can stuff ourselves with lollies while watching the reasonably pretty boylove. I'll take all my new stuff as well. - I love music. I really, truly do. Been discovering new music and rediscovering a lot of old too. Felix of the Cat Empire is teh smex. Seriously, Google the guy. Sex on long legs, he is. <33 - So, once my exams are done, we have the Yr 12 Farewell. I have a rainbow dress for that. I'll try and get up photos of it sometime. Then it's off to the Queensland coast to Dunk Island for about ten days. Relaxing on an island beach? Hell yus. Then when I get back, the day after, my sister and her parents are coming to visit for about five days. I can't wait for that. My little sister. Squee! After that, I have only a few days before I get all four of my wisdom teeth out. I'm shit scared. I hate that sort of thing. I've never had to have anything done to my teeth, so why start now? Then after that, I'll have to start working again and get up my money, train uber hard at Mongoose and get my next belt, practice uber hard at my piano and clarinet, buy the stuff I want before heading to Japan, and learn Japanese. This will all be in the two-three months before leaving. Hogod. I'm screwed, I am. - Brothers on a Hotel Bed. If you don't know what this means, ignore it. For those of you that know - and I'm sure you know who you are - I'm intending to have the completed version posted sometime tonight. I love it so much. And you, too, for that matter. Really, I do. It's already over 100 KB, a new record for me and writing. - Gaia. More specifically, Gaia Online. I've been haunting it - literally - these past weeks. XDD And on my shop there, a girl just requested a JackxWill fic with a passionate kiss. I laughed. <3 That's really all. I dare say there's a stack more that hasn't been mentioned, but I've been away for so long that I don't really think I can remember any of it anymore. Just, make do with this. Any conversations that stem from this, we'll take it from there, okay? LOVE.

I didn't mean to be away for this long, but I didn't mean to come back now either, only I felt I had to.

Granddad passed away at lunch time. 23/09/07. I'm not very happy.

Tuesdays and Sundays are the worst days ever; everything I care about always gets shot to pieces on those two days.

So, um. I wasn't going to post here until my exams are over -- I still have art and English extension to go -- but this news just couldn't wait. Yeah, even though I have so many comments to catch up on </3 BUT. OMFG BUT. The guy came, from the exchange program I'm looking at going to Japan with next year. We had an interview at school. XD In Mr Johnston's office, actually. Kicked the dear ol' principal out. And you know. We talked. For about an hour. The first half hour mum and dad were in there too, asking questions. The second part was just me and him. HE AS GOOD AS SAID I'M IN. So. Um. Hello Japan, anyone~~? *SPAZZETH*

Exams: Just did my second English exam today. ;_; Three essays in two hours. My hand died somewhere in the process, but I won't be getting below 15 in any of them at least *generally pretty good at judging her marks* Tomorrow is ancient history, which may be a little harder to bluff through, but I'm pretty confident I can do it. I'll still get highest in the class, so meh. If not highest, then I won't be below second.

Exchange to Japan: Um, yeah. So, I was sleeping this afternoon, because four hours sleep before a gruelling exam is so not good for you, and Taibe came in. I was already awake, but I'm a big fan in just lying and pretending to be asleep, so he 'woke me up'. He was saying that the guy from FACE was on the phone. That's the program I'm looking at going with. So, of course, I staggered down the hallway - only partly feigned, I was actually quite out of it - and into the office to pick up the phone. I think my voice was about two tones lower than it should have been, but that's okay. We have a date for the interview that goes with the application process; Tuesday the seventh. Oh, hell. It's next week, and I'm still doing exams there, and he said he didn't have any other choice about when to do it. I feel quite bad for the guy, actually. He's going all around Australia in three weeks just to interview dozens of highschool kids. I mean, if it was me, I'd hate that job. O; But yeah. Next Tuesday at two in the afternoon, and it'll be at school. I hope I get in. I really, really hope so. DDDDDDD; He seemed nice enough - enough so that I didn't really feel awkward talking to him on the phone, which is a new experience - but I know better than to assume that that means I'll get in fo'sho.

Anime: been watching Peach Girl for the past few days. No matter how much it annoyed me, I didn't give up. It's quite emotional, really, although it nearly got to the point where I wanted every character except Okayasu to die. Seriously, he's such a sweetie, definitely my absolute favourite. But, but, but, OMFG - his name is KAIRI. Okayasu Kairi. And he's a guy. =DDD Tell me you aren't in love. And some of the outfits are really quite cool, too, and there are some really sweet moments, if maybe a little too many misunderstandings and drama and well - overall, the entire thing felt like a Korean drama. Yeah, that overdone. <3 I got to talk to Ren-chan last night, too, and I 'introduced' her to it. She was faintly amused. I want to write her a gift!fic. Seriously, it was so much fun talking to her like that. We're drama llamas together, ROFL. It was hilarious, what with the melodramatic meetings and partings we shared. <333

I really don't think I can be bothered with any more updates. They're the 'important' ones, anyway. Ja ne~! I want to write. I would love to get Brothers on a Hotel Bed finished, but, it feels like it may have to wait, at least until exams are over. ;_;

Um. So yeah. Anybody got a good recommendation for a fic? Kingdom Hearts preferably, but FFVII, FFVIII and FFX/X-2 will do as well, and any anime you know I've read/watched. Seriously. Any pairing, any length, any topic. As long as it's written well. Het will do - hell, I think I even have a bit of a longing for het, because most of the good!fic nowadays is all yaoi, and even yaoi gets boring when one is inundated by both the good and the bad.

Frankly, the lack of good!fic in the kh!fandom is killing me. I went and read just a few, just before, and - well, two of the fics I read were nearly identical to two stories I've written myself, so I just sort of wtf-ed - and the others? All shit grammar, weak plotlines with so many damn holes and pathetic dramatic scenes and too many exclamation marks to count. Oh, and sucky summaries, capitalisation where it totally isn't needed, completely unoriginal storylines, clichés being overused, dodgy OCs, OOC actual bloody characters, highschool fics - OMG, not again! I thought when KHII began we were mostly over that phase! - and perhaps my least favourite thing? In the summaries, whenever I read the words 'in love', 'boyfriends' or something similar, my eyes bleed. Seriously.

PLEASE. For my sanity, feed me.

The movie? Not as good as it could have been. Technically, yes, absolutely brilliant - the special effects were flawless. Emotionally - no impact whatsoever, maybe the range of a teaspoon? Characterisation was bleh, oh-kay, although I really enjoyed three different people - Luna Lovegood, Bellatrix Lestrange and Neville Longbottom. They were all really well done in this movie, I thought. They missed pretty much all the best parts of the book, though.

Maybe... 2.5 - 3 / 5.

Just a quick update:

Went to Fairies' last night, a pub just across the bridge. With Caitlyn and her three Melbournian friends Aaron, Ruth and Dermott. Aaron and I had a nice conversation about gravy, Ruth and I about accidentally stabbing people with straws, and Dermott didn't talk. However, they came over for a little today. He talked then. He met my puppy dog Sally, and was shocked at how similar he was to her. Ruth said they could be brother and sister. I lol'd. Kristy and Nicole were also out at dinner with us. I knocked the side mirror off my car. ^^;; I feel stupid.

But. Tonight, going to see 'Arry 'Otter. Soon I can maybe squiz with you about it, Glassie. I just read something saying it's not for kids. Haha. I laugh at it. Y'hear me? Laugh. But yeah. Cait's trying to convince me and Nicole and Jess - Jess is coming tonight to Albury with us to see it - to go in at five and meet them there. We were like blatantly "no." So we'll be there at six, in time to line up and yeaaaah. Fun-fun.
